Carmen Victoria Carvajal 

Visual Arts Lessons, Drawing Lessons, Painting lessons in Miami

Carmen Victoria Carvajal was born in 1984 in Miami, FL. She thrived as a young student at Conchita Espinosa Academy in their visual arts conservatory program and received several art awards. Carmen later studied at Felix Varela Senior High School where she attended various art competitions, received their Outstanding Art Student Award for three consecutive years, and was formally nominated to receive the Miami Herald Silver Knight Award for Art.

Carmen continued her art education and was accepted into the Honor’s College Program of Miami Dade College for visual arts with a full scholarship. She subsequently attended Florida International University where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Art and Minor in Art History. During this time period, she worked at the Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum educating students through hands on art activities and guided tours of their sculpture park. After graduation, Carmen accepted a freelance position as the illustrator for the children’s book Nest County. She later relocated to Tallahassee, FL in order to attended Florida State University where she graduated summa cum laude with a Master’s Degree in Arts Administration and worked for the Lemoyne Center for the Visual Arts.

Upon her return to Miami, FL, Carmen provided art lessons on an individual basis while simultaneously working for a private company training managers on how to become effective leaders. Currently, Carmen is an active artist and art teacher at Play and Learn in addition to Encore’s Academy of the Arts.
