Carolina Rivero is a first-born American citizen, both her parents were born in Cuba and moved to the
United States at a young age. The difficulties her grandparents faced in their escape from the Cuban
government motivates Carolina’s determination to surpass their expectations.
Carolina Rivero studied piano under the direction of Debora Sanchez for twelve years at Encore
Academy of the Arts where she later began studying vocal performance with Denysse Carmouse.
Carolina graduated in 2018 from Our Lady of Lourdes Academy high school. In 2022, she graduated from
the University of Miami with a dual degree; a Bachelor’s of Art in Psychology and a Bachelor’s of Art in
Music at the Frost School of Music. She also perused a minor in Music Business.
Carolina has performed in several events and charities all around Miami. In 2016, she received first place
in the Young Talent Big Dreams competition in the Pop/Rock/Wrap category. She also had the honor to perform in the Adrienne Archt Center for the Children’s Trust fundraiser concert. During her time at UM’s Frost School of Music, Carolina participated in a Latin singer/songwriter ensemble, Cafe con Leche. As part of the ensemble, Carolina had her song, “Corazon de la Isla”, showcased in PBS’s premier of the Que Pasa USA remake. Additionally, Carolina had the pleasure of performing for Gloria Estefan in a charity event funded by the Estefans. Recently, Carolina has performed for an event from The Cove/Rincon International, a non-profit cultural organization, as a special musical guest.
In May 2022, Carolina rejoined her Encore Academy of the Arts family as a voice teacher!
